Trial Attorney - South Florida: Farmers is seeking a Trial Attorney to join their team in South Florida. This is a virtual position with in-person appearances as required. Responsibilities: The Trial Attorney will be responsible for handling cases assigned by a supervisor, which can involve all areas of tort practice. This includes preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, attending hearings, conferences, interviews, trials or arbitrations, and any other necessary tasks for proper client representation. They may also assist other attorneys and functionally supervise attorneys on specific cases. Requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma and a bachelor's degree, as well as a law school degree and be a member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located. They should have at least three years of experience as an attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience or comparable outside experience. They should also be able to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision. Special Skills: The ideal candidate will possess strong public speaking skills, the ability to function and handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations, and a valid driver's license. Location: This position is remote, with in-person appearances required throughout South Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miramar, Naples, Plantation, and West Palm Beach.
