The attorney will play a crucial role in handling complex business reorganizations, specifically focusing on Chapter 11 cases. The candidate is expected to bring 2-5 years of experience representing debtors, lenders, investors, trustees, and/or committees in the restructuring process.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support for clients involved in complex business reorganizations, particularly Chapter 11 cases.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, investors, trustees, and committees to navigate restructuring processes.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence related to restructuring matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including reorganization plans, agreements, and court filings.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings and negotiations.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the New York Bar.
  • 2-5 years of experience in complex business reorganizations (Chapter 11).
  • Prior experience representing debtors, lenders, investors, trustees, and/or committees.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with the capability to work collaboratively.
  • Should bring a solid foundation in complex business reorganizations, with specific experience in Chapter 11 cases.
