Associate General Counsel-Litigation

We are currently seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to provide legal support for our Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent KPMG and its professionals in civil litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations, as well as provide legal advice to the firm and its leaders on related issues. If you have a strong background in defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Provide counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory investigations
- Represent KPMG in civil litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations
- Develop and implement strategies for successful and cost-effective resolution of litigation claims and investigations
- Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel and other members of the Office of General Counsel (OGC)
- Report to and consult with senior leadership on litigation and regulatory matters
- Assist in developing financial projections for supervised matters

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 18 years of recent experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions is a plus
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the .
- Experience in the Division of Enforcement of the SEC or PCAOB is a plus, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple litigations and projects simultaneously with strategic thinking and high ethical standards
- Excellent analytical, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and client-service orientation
