A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney to join its team in Philadelphia. The Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for providing legal support in class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters. The role involves effective communication with clients, legal professionals, and third parties, producing high-quality work products, meeting deadlines, and adhering to firm policies.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties both verbally and in writing.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality work product.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including prolonged computer work and participation in virtual meetings.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Previous federal clerkship is a plus.
  • Experience with class action defense and superior writing skills are highly preferred.
  • Ability to navigate and take ownership of a multi-matter docket.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
