A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in managing prelitigation teams and negotiating prelitigation files.

 

Job Overview:

The Pre-Litigation Attorney will be responsible for leading prelitigation teams, working up prelitigation files, and negotiating settlements. They must demonstrate strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.

 

Duties:

  • Manage multiple prelitigation teams and lead them successfully.
  • Work up prelitigation files from signup through presuit negotiations.
  • Interact regularly with clients, adjusters, staff, and other lawyers in person and over the phone.
  • Attend presuit vehicle inspections and file Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) when necessary.
  • Supervise and manage other team members effectively.
  • Understand and work from complex data reports, such as Power BI.
  • Negotiate prelitigation files to achieve favorable settlements.
  • Handle cases involving commercial motor vehicles.
  • Work independently while being accountable for case management.
  • Desire to work on some litigation files is a plus.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Personal Injury litigation experience.
  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member of the Texas Bar in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple prelitigation teams effectively.
  • Experience in case management and negotiation.
  • Commercial case experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member of the Texas Bar in good standing.
