A law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a focus on employment law to join their team in Rockford, IL. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing and representing clients in employment law cases. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active State of Illinois Law license in good standing. The candidate should have 3-7 years of experience in employment law.

Duties:

• Represent clients in employment law cases, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and employment contract disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build effective case strategies.
• Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs for employment law cases.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on employment-related matters.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and HR professionals in the resolution of employment disputes.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois Law license in good standing.
• 3-7 years of experience in employment law.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
