The candidate will play a pivotal role in counseling venture capital firms and emerging companies, managing day-to-day affairs, and serving as the primary legal point of contact for overall needs. This role involves handling transactional work, including venture financings, exits, and working capital arrangements, while representing the interests of venture firms and other capital sources in various transactions.

Duties:

• Counsel venture capital firms and emerging companies in day-to-day affairs, acting as the main legal contact for overall needs.
• Handle transactional work, including venture financings, exits, and working capital arrangements.
• Represent the interests of venture firms and other capital sources in various transactions.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients and the broader business ecosystem.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to provide insightful legal advice.
• Experience with west coast deals is a plus.
• Maintain excellent academic credentials.
• Previous experience with competitive firms in the tech sector is a plus.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements to practice law in the State of New York.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
• 4-6 years of legal experience.
• Admission to the Bar in the State of New York, in good standing.
