A reputable law firm located in Dorchester, MA, is currently in search of a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Closing Associate Attorney to strengthen its legal team. This exciting opportunity calls for an individual with a minimum of 3 years of legal practice experience, specifically in the field of commercial real estate law. The firm highly values candidates who can bring at least 10 portable closings per month and exhibit a strong aptitude for handling titles and real estate closings. Knowledge of commercial real estate clientele is a definite plus.
The selected candidate will shoulder a range of responsibilities critical to the firm's real estate practice. These tasks include conducting exhaustive legal research, meticulously performing due diligence, and conducting comprehensive title examinations, all within the context of commercial real estate transactions. Drafting, reviewing, and skillfully negotiating contracts, purchase agreements, and leases will also be central to the role. Furthermore, the candidate will be entrusted with representing clients during commercial real estate closings, ensuring the precise execution of all legal prerequisites. Expertise in advising clients on matters such as zoning, land use, and environmental concerns as they relate to commercial real estate will be pivotal. Collaborating effectively with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders in real estate transactions to streamline the closing process is equally vital. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to adeptly manage post-closing matters, including document recording and the resolution of any lingering post-closing issues.
Qualified applicants should possess a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts, and active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar Association or an equivalent bar association. In addition to a solid educational foundation and requisite certifications, the successful candidate should bring to the table a demonstrated proficiency in legal research and analysis. A knack for contract drafting and negotiation is also essential, as is familiarity with real estate title software and databases. Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and meticulous attention to detail are highly desirable attributes. Moreover, the ability to efficiently manage multiple closings simultaneously while working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team will be a significant asset.
