A law firm in Hunt Valley, MD, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience in real estate, foreclosure, and/or creditors’ rights law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailed review of documentation related to VA foreclosures, communication with clients and courts, attendance at court hearings and mediations, and management of title curative and litigation matters.

Job Details:

• Perform detailed review of documentation related to VA foreclosures to ensure compliance with state and federal law.
• Communicate professionally and timely with clients and courts.
• Attend court status hearings, mediations, and litigation proceedings.
• Manage a portfolio of title curative and litigation matters related to VA foreclosures and other default-related issues.
• Prioritize and manage a portfolio of active files, ensuring legal action exceeds clients’ timelines and expectations.
• Handle day-to-day aspects of the Virginia foreclosure pre-sale, post-sale, and accounting processes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate Required.
• Admission to the Bar in Virginia required; additional Maryland licensure a plus.
• 1-5 years of experience practicing in real estate, foreclosure, and/or creditors’ rights law.
