The ideal candidate will have experience in energy transition practices (renewables, H2, CCS), LNG, or electric power sectors and have been a key member of a team on major transactions and project development matters. They should have experience managing a team, possess strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities, and demonstrate an interest in the energy industry and clients' businesses.

Duties:

  • Work on major projects and transactions in the energy and infrastructure space.
  • Provide legal advice and support on energy transition practices, including renewables, hydrogen (H2), carbon capture and storage (CCS), LNG, and electric power sectors.
  • Serve as a key member of a team on major transactions and project development matters.
  • Manage a team of junior associates, working closely with partners.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to project finance, development, and implementation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory and compliance issues in the energy industry.
  • Analyze and synthesize new information related to energy projects and transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience working on major projects and transactions, preferably in the energy and infrastructure space.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Experience in energy transition practices, including renewables, H2, CCS, LNG, or electric power sectors preferred.
  • Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to manage a team and work closely with partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in the energy industry and understanding of clients' businesses.

Certifications:
