Duties:

  • Assist the team with developing and financing thermal and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, waste-to-energy, natural gas, coal facilities, and natural gas pipelines.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation in matters related to energy and environmental law.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory issues impacting energy and environmental projects.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings related to energy and environmental matters.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to clients on navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of meaningful litigation experience, focusing on energy and environmental law, is considered a bonus.
  • Possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Adept in case management and ready to take the lead on legal matters.
  • Admitted in Good Standing to the South Carolina State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.
