A law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney for their Houston, TX, location.

Job Overview:

The Family Law Associate Attorney will handle all family law cases, from initial pleadings to post-judgment matters. They will work closely with paralegals and lead attorneys to provide swift and effective legal representation to clients.

Duties:

• Create well-drafted pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and orders
• Skillfully argue on behalf of clients in hearings and trials involving custody, support, and property issues
• Solve and prevent client legal problems
• Serve, answer, and compel discovery
• Attend mediation sessions
• Negotiate with opposing counsel
• Assist in handling all aspects of family law cases from initial pleadings to discovery, mediation, temporary hearings, trial, final order, post-judgment

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate
• License to Practice Law in the State of Texas
• Family Law Experience is preferred
• Legal Clinic Experience preferred
• 0-3 years of experience
