Role and Responsibilities: - Serve as a State and Local Tax (SALT) Director for Citrin Cooperman's National Tax Practice. - Conduct tax research and analysis on a variety of SALT matters, including income and indirect tax nexus, apportionment and revenue sourcing, sales taxability, credits and incentives, SALT planning and implementation, and M&A due diligence. - Collaborate with clients and internal personnel to provide comprehensive and effective solutions to SALT issues. - Work in a highly interactive and dynamic team environment within Citrin Cooperman's National SALT practice. - Utilize strong research and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex tax concepts. - Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, LLM or master's in taxation. - CPA and/or JD preferred. - At least 10 years of tax experience in a public accounting or law firm, with at least 4 years exclusively in SALT. - Comprehensive understanding of multi-state tax concepts. - Strong ability to build and maintain strong team relationships. - Highly organized and detail-oriented. - A desire to continuously learn and apply new concepts in real-time.
