A law firm located in Chicago is actively seeking a highly qualified Labor and Employment Senior Associate or Counsel with 7+ years of substantial experience in employment-related and/or class action litigation. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire for trial work.

 

Duties:

  • Defend against employment discrimination, EEOC/DOL, and wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
  • Counsel employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Draft workplace policies and provide assistance to clients on various employment issues.
  • Engage in trial work and courtroom representation.

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of substantive experience in employment-related and/or class action litigation.
  • The desire for trial work.

 

Experience:

  • Background in defending employment discrimination, EEOC/DOL, and wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
  • Experience counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Proven track record of engaging in trial work.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree.

 

Certifications:

Any relevant certifications in labor and employment law are advantageous.

  • Ability to provide sound legal counsel to clients.
