Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will be an integral part of the Corporate Restructuring team, responsible for handling a variety of in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters. The ideal candidate will possess 4-6 years of experience, showcasing proficiency in representing companies, creditors, and lenders in complex restructuring scenarios. This role requires a high level of academic achievement, bankruptcy court clerkships, and experience in the restructuring practice of a peer firm.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients involved in corporate restructuring transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement legal strategies.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and participate in negotiations.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate restructuring.
  • Proven proficiency in both in-court and out-of-court restructuring scenarios.
  • Substantial company-side experience, including representation of creditors and lenders.
  • High level of academic achievement, with a preference for bankruptcy court clerkships.
  • Experience in the restructuring practice of a peer firm is a preferred qualification.
  • Admission to practice law in New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
