Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution for software and electronics IP across multiple industries
  • Handle all aspects of . and foreign patent prosecution
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their patent needs and objectives
  • Draft and review patent applications, responses, and related documents
  • Conduct patentability and prior art searches
  • Provide legal advice and opinions related to patent matters
  • Assist with patent litigation support as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Familiarity with software and electronics IP
  • Knowledge of health and medicine sectors is desirable
  • Excellent academic record with a demonstrated commitment to client service
  • Superior organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Creative and strategic approach to patent prosecution

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in patent litigation support
  • Industry work experience in software, electronics, or related fields
