The ideal candidate must possess an active Bar membership, demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills, and exhibit exceptional research and analytical abilities. The role requires a compassionate and understanding approach when dealing with vulnerable individuals and their families.

Duties:

  • Assist the senior attorney in reviewing guardianship petitions and related legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and affidavits, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations to represent clients' interests.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar membership in the state of Florida.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Previous experience in guardianship law or related areas is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly.
  • Exceptional research and analytical abilities to assess complex legal issues.
  • Compassionate and understanding demeanor when dealing with vulnerable individuals and their families.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
