Huntsville office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a medical malpractice trial attorney with 5+ years of litigation or trial experience. The candidate will review new file assignments. Will prepare or approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategy. Prepare and file motions to dismiss or motions for summary judgment as appropriate and applicable. Contact clients to discuss their case and answer any questions. Review all documentary evidence. Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses. Conduct depositions and examinations under oath and prepare summary documents. Prepare and conduct court appearances (trials, matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.). Conduct settlement and dispositive proceedings (., mediations, arbitrations, etc.). Try or arbitrate cases. Draft post-trial motions. Prepare for and participate in appeals including writing briefs. Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate. Courtroom experience is required. Medical background is preferred. A license to practice law in Alabama is essential.
