Job Overview: A law firm in Westport, CT, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, exceptional academic credentials, superior verbal and interpersonal communication abilities, and a demonstrated interest in practicing law in Connecticut. Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required, and admission to the New York Bar is considered a plus. A background in judicial clerkship is also desirable.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Assist senior attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.
• Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Manage case files, including organizing documents and maintaining case calendars.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends impacting litigation practice.

Requirements:

• A Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission.
• At least 2 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong research and writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in practicing law in Connecticut.

Education and Certifications:
