Summary:

Deloitte Tax LLP is seeking a Tax Senior with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability to join their Business Tax Services practice. In this role, you will work with clients in the renewable energy industry, providing high-value tax services and advising on tax issues related to renewable energy projects. This position offers the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of a rapidly growing practice and work with a well-respected team of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Support renewable energy client engagements and participate in targeting new clients
- Advise clients on tax issues related to renewable energy projects, including Investment Tax Credits, Production Tax Credits, Carbon Capture Tax Credits, and Clean Hydrogen Tax Credits
- Prepare tax returns and provide advisory services related to modeling and structuring renewable energy tax equity structures
- Maintain and develop strong internal and client relationships
- Monitor current and proposed tax legislation and regulations related to renewable energy and sustainability
- Collaborate with other Deloitte departments to execute work streams, such as valuation studies, tax equity modeling, and life cycle assessment studies
- Identify potential issues and propose solutions to leadership
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and present potential opportunities to assist clients
- Provide support with various internal initiatives and special tax-related projects

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Active CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA/law firm is a plus
