Description:

Salesforce is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as a Senior Corporate Counsel, specializing in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance. This role will have a significant impact on our global compliance systems, ensuring we meet current and future regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide legal advice and counseling on ESG compliance and disclosure. You will also be responsible for monitoring and advising on legal developments and regulations related to ESG laws worldwide.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal guidance and strategic advice on ESG compliance laws and regulations globally
- Oversee localization of corporate-level plans for compliance with climate transition plans globally
- Monitor and advise on legal developments and regulations concerning ESG laws
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ESG statutory reporting
- Facilitate internal governance body focused on human rights policies and due diligence
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigating them
- Stay current on developments of ESG laws applicable to Salesforce
- Ensure open communication and documentation relating to ESG laws
- Direct or support risk assessments, audit activities, and internal investigations related to ESG laws
- Utilize Salesforce products and technology to enable compliance with ESG laws

Requirements:

- Minimum of 8 years of law firm or in-house experience in legal compliance
- Strong knowledge and understanding of . and international ESG laws
- Experience with voluntary reporting frameworks such as SASB, GRI, TCFD, and CDP
- Familiarity with . securities laws and compliance obligations
- Responsive and service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities
