A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Catastrophic Injury and Product Liability Litigation Associate Attorney to join their trial team. The ideal candidate will have experience in defending high-exposure cases involving catastrophic injuries and product liability matters. This role involves active participation in all phases of litigation, including expert discovery and trial.

Duties:

• Work closely with a trial team to defend high-exposure cases involving catastrophic injury and product liability matters.
• Develop expert witness and trial strategies.
• Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in courtroom appearances and arguments.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for experience practicing in Cook County and its collar counties.
• Excellent research skills to support case preparation and strategy.
• Strong writing skills to draft legal documents and motions effectively.
• Effective verbal communication skills for courtroom appearances and client interactions.
• Must hold an active Illinois law license.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• An active Illinois law license is mandatory.
