Job Overview:
A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced Business And Construction Litigation Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will prepare legal documents, conduct research, attend legal proceedings, counsel clients, and manage cases efficiently.

Duties:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents (contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, lien-related documents, settlement agreements) for contract negotiations and litigation proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy.
  • Attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Take fact and expert depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Analyze case facts and conflicts, develop litigation strategy, and advise clients on solutions.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information availability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in business and construction litigation matters.
  • 5 years of strong, relevant, verifiable experience in a similar role.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
