Houston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a litigation associate attorney with 3+ years of trial experience. The candidate will work with a special emphasis on commercial litigation from case inception, discovery, and motion practice through mediation or trial. Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues on complex litigation, ranging from state and federal court motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and motions to compel and appeals. Draft pleadings and prepare discovery, briefing, and research. Make court appearances for hearings and trials. Participate in administrative hearings before OSHA, Texas Medical Board, Centers for Medicare Services, and other state and federal agencies. Attend depositions and conduct administrative hearings and mediations. Lead in evidentiary hearings and assist in mediations. Assist in depositions of both fact and expert witnesses. Must have previous courtroom experience. A proven track record of experience in successful complex commercial litigation is required. Experience leading temporary injunction and temporary restraining order hearings is required. Must be in good standing with the Texas State Bar. Should be able to practice in both State and Federal courts.
