A law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities, qualifications, and skills:

Job Overview:

• The Family Law Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of family law matters from motion practice through trial and appeal.
• This role requires excellent research skills, the ability to draft motion papers and agreements, and proficiency in appearing in court to litigate family law issues.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on various family law matters.
• Draft motion papers, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court to represent clients and litigate family law cases.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on family law issues.
• Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and execution.
• Maintain client communication and manage case files effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in matrimonial law or a strong background in litigation.
• Admission to the New York Bar is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in handling family law cases from inception to resolution.
• Strong advocacy and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research methods and resources.
• Excellent drafting skills for legal documents and agreements.
• Ability to effectively negotiate and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
