Duties:

  • Provide employment-related counseling to clients.
  • Draft transactional documents about employment matters.
  • Handle litigation matters, including single plaintiff and collective/class actions.
  • Address issues related to hiring, separation, wage and hour laws, EEO compliance, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, employment policies, and agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence for corporate transactions.
  • Manage employee accommodation and leave issues.
  • Conduct investigations into employment-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with public accommodation access for persons with disabilities and OSHA regulations.
  • Any other employment law issues as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Admitted to the Bar in Texas or preparing to obtain such admission in 2024 through reciprocity with another state.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Proficient in public speaking.
  • Experience and responsibility in a broad base of employment issues.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Texas or eligibility for reciprocity admission.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of labor and employment laws.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
