A law firm in Tampa is seeking a 1st Party Litigator. The litigator will manage a significant caseload, representing clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. They will prepare legal documents, maintain client communication, and ensure compliance with billing requirements. Strong advocacy, legal expertise, and technological proficiency are essential.

Duties:

• Manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
• Provide timely reports to insurance carriers and clients on case status
• Develop client relationships through relationship-building methods
• Travel to various courthouses and locations as required
• Meet monthly billing requirements
• Work in a professional office setting

Requirements:

1-3+ years of experience in first-party property or PIP defense litigation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Good Standing Membership with the Florida Bar

Skills and Certifications:

• Knowledge and experience in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation
• Expertise in all phases of litigation from pleadings to trial
• Experience in taking and defending depositions
• Strong oral advocacy and writing skills
• Case evaluation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Technological confidence in using process management systems and available technology
