A law firm seeks a Healthcare Commercial Litigation Attorney for its Roseland, NJ office.

Job Overview:

The Healthcare Commercial Litigation Attorney will represent clients in healthcare-related and commercial litigation matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts. This role requires expertise in various areas, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, regulatory compliance, and insurance fraud. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel, develop strategies, and manage cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

  • Experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts in healthcare-related and commercial litigation.
  • Knowledge of general commercial and healthcare law, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback statute, EKRA, the Stark Law, False Claims Act, etc.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding rights and obligations under relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies and take a lead role in proceedings.
  • Keep up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis.
  • Review work products by junior attorneys.
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
  • Identify legal and compliance issues business risks, and offer effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for department process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Identify and escalate issues as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience.
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • NJ Bar is required; NY admission is preferred; otherwise, it must be obtained.
  • 8+ years of legal experience with a demonstrated focus on healthcare.
  • Strong preference for candidates with a physician, healthcare facilities, or pharmacy experience.
