What You'll Do:

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the real estate industry sector
- Work with state-of-the-art technology to streamline tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
- Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, including REIT qualification, impact of Tax Reform, business restructuring, and tax controversy
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects for various entities
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Mentor and develop junior staff, including those in the . India office

The Team:

- Deloitte works with clients in the real estate industry to address critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, technology advancements, and changing customer demands
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators, investment managers, private equity, REITs, and other real estate owners and operators
- Spectrum of business tax services includes tax planning, compliance, controversy and risk management, and specialized services such as R&D and tax management consulting

Qualifications:

- Ability to work in a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years of corporate or international tax experience required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP required
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and clients served
- Advanced degree and previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred
- Demonstrated effective communication and research skills
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, federal tax compliance, and tax research
- Management experience preferred

Salary Information:

- Wage range takes into account various factors such as skills, experience, licensure, and organizational needs
- Reasonable estimate of current range is $84,980 to $169,650
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
