A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working on all aspects of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial work, in both federal and state courts throughout California. Knowledge or experience in labor and employment law, public sector law, and appeals is considered a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial work.
  • Represent clients in federal and state courts throughout California.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Assist with case strategy development and client counseling.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates on case developments.
  • Assist with appeals and appellate briefing, if applicable.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and precedents.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
  • 1-3 years of experience in litigation.
  • Knowledge or experience in labor and employment law, public sector law, and appeals preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California.

 

Skills:

  • Litigation experience, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial work.
