A law firm located in Milwaukee is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney with civil and/or commercial litigation experience, strong writing and research skills, and admission to the Wisconsin Bar. The ideal candidate will have excellent law school academics and at least 3 years of litigation experience. The Junior Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for supporting the firm's litigation team by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing assistance with case management. They will utilize their strong writing and analytical skills to contribute to the success of the firm's litigation practice.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various civil and/or commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Assist with case management, including organizing case files and maintaining case calendars.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and execution.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas.
  • Provide support to other attorneys and staff members as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Wisconsin Bar is required.
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil and/or commercial litigation.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent law school academics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
