Job Description:

As a Staff Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal representation to indigent clients and ensuring that their rights are protected in the criminal justice system. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including misdemeanors, felonies, delinquency matters, and others. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced attorneys and receive ongoing training to develop your skills.

Responsibilities:

- Effectively communicate with clients
- Spot and anticipate legal issues
- Write, edit, and review motions
- Make sound legal arguments in the courtroom
- Work independently and collaboratively
- Manage a caseload consisting of misdemeanors and youth cases
- Receive felony cases and co-counseling opportunities
- Participate in internal and state-wide trainings
- Utilize digital case management system for case files
- Maintain a strong work ethic

Requirements:

- or anticipate graduating in 2024
- Admitted to the New Hampshire Bar or eligible to waive in with qualifying UBE score
- Demonstrated commitment to criminal defense
- Valid driver's license
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
