Job Title: Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax (Central Region Office Locations)
Experience: 5+ years total corporate or international tax experience
Salary Range: $84,980 to $169,650 (based on skill sets, experience, and other factors)
Locations: Available in 28 locations (Central Region Office Locations)

Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in serving real estate owners and operators.
- Leadership role with a focus on Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules.
- Opportunity to develop and implement innovative strategies using the latest tax technologies in the real estate industry.

What You'll Do:

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector.
- Work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to a group of specialists when needed.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology to streamline tax compliance processes and ensure worldwide compliance.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
- Advise clients on various tax issues, including REIT qualification, impact of Tax Reform on passthroughs and other Real Estate clients, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Manage complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects and utilize data analytics.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model (in-person and remote work).
- 5+ years of corporate or international tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, depending on the work and clients served.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous experience in Big 4 or large CPA firms.
- Experience with US clients and a basic understanding of US tax.
- Effective communication and research skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills.

Salary Information:

- The disclosed range is not adjusted for geographic location.
- Compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances and may not be at the top of the range.
- A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $169,650.
