Position Summary:

- Seeking a senior tax professional with a passion for Financial Services and Insurance to join Deloitte's Business Tax Services team.
- Opportunity to work in 23 different locations across the US.
- Responsible for providing tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry, including underwriting, claims, IT, finance, and accounting functions.
- Collaborate with client's tax and finance departments to gather data for tax return preparation.
- Assist with strategic tax planning, researching federal tax law, and drafting technical memos.
- Support with IRS audit defense.

The Team:

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team helps clients integrate tax strategy into their business operations while considering individual risk profiles.
- Subject matter experts and industry specialists provide services relevant to clients' businesses.
- Services include global tax challenges, tax planning, compliance, controversy and risk management, and specialized services such as research and development, government incentives, and tax management consulting.

Qualifications:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, requiring in-person collaboration 2-3 days per week.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience working with public or private corporations.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work.
- Must have or be willing to obtain one of the following accreditations: CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP.
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM) preferred.
- Experience in life insurance, property insurance, or casualty industry preferred.
- Previous experience with corporate tax preparation, compliance, or controversy desired.
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firm preferred.

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role is $63,420 to $144,300.
- Range takes into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
- Range does not include geographic differentials.
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances and may not result in being hired at or near the top of the range.
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
