Job Description:

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to join their Legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of insurance defense and subrogation cases, including Bodily Injury Auto, Commercial Auto, Property Damage, and more. This position offers a hybrid work environment and does not require billing. As a Senior Trial Attorney, you will have the opportunity to independently handle cases and also work as part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate strong trial advocacy skills and proactive case management to effectively handle all matters in accordance with Nationwide Trial Division (NTD) guidelines.
- Utilize technology and collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Stay updated on changes in the law, technology, and other aspects of the legal and insurance industries.
- Possess and maintain subject matter expertise in all NTD concentrations.
- Provide accurate case valuations and maintain strong professional relationships with key associates and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, claims, and internal NTD teams.
- Serve as a mentor for junior attorneys and NTD staff.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

- Active license in the state of Georgia.
- 8+ years of relevant civil litigation experience in insurance defense or subrogation.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly collaborative and able to work with staff and other attorneys.
- Significant negotiation skills.
- Resourceful and creative problem solver.
- Computer savvy with a solid understanding of basic software.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the law and technology.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Leadership skills for motivating, problem solving, and developing colleagues and clients.
