The successful candidate is expected to bring a portable book of business exceeding $300,000, with rates surpassing $500 per hour. Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in cannabis-related matters, including regulatory compliance, licensing, and business transactions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed recommendations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents about the cannabis industry.
• Advise clients on state and federal cannabis laws, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings related to cannabis-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address various aspects of cannabis law, including corporate, regulatory, and intellectual property matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, specializing in cannabis law.
• Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining a portable book of business exceeding $300,000.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
