Overview:
Linktree is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Legal to join our dynamic legal team. This role will be responsible for providing strategic counsel and leading legal initiatives to support our vision of empowering anyone to curate and grow their digital universe. The Senior Director of Legal will report directly to the SVP of Legal and People and manage a small team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to stakeholders across all teams on a broad range of legal issues
- Monitor the regulatory landscape for laws applicable to Linktree
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including large-scale partnerships
- Partner with the SVP of Legal to identify and mitigate legal risks and set legal goals
- Manage a team of legal professionals and facilitate their professional development

Qualifications:
- Licensed attorney with a preference for candidates licensed in California or New York
- Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in commercial law and 3 years in-house
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including partnership agreements
- Familiarity with B2C online platforms, e-commerce, and payments
- Proven ability in strategic risk mitigation and partnering with the General Counsel
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to navigate between high-level strategic counsel and detailed legal advice
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication skills and judgement

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with start-up or scale-up stage businesses
- Legal qualifications in other jurisdictions
- Experience with privacy laws, advertising, and M&A
- Prior experience in AI
