A law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Trial Attorney to collaborate with other attorneys, manage multiple cases, prepare litigation reports, make court appearances, oversee discovery, and negotiate settlements. The candidate must have a license to practice law, litigation experience, and a record of success.

Duties:

• Collaborate with other attorneys in managing multiple cases.
• Prepare litigation reports, risk assessments, and legal documents.
• Make court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Oversee discovery process.
• Perform research and negotiate favorable settlements.
• Meet with clients, gather evidence and witnesses, assemble cases, and present them in trial.
• File motions, appeals, and work on settlements out of court.

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, with an emphasis in plaintiff’s bodily injury preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of civil procedure and torts.
• Strong ability to draft, review legal documents, and train with senior attorneys.
• Excellent research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.

Education:

Law degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of civil procedure and torts.
• Excellent research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
