A law firm in Coral Gables, FL, seeks a dedicated and compassionate Guardianship Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist the senior attorney in reviewing petitions, demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills, and exhibiting exceptional research and analytical abilities. This role requires a deep sense of compassion and understanding when dealing with vulnerable individuals and their families.

Duties:

• Assist the senior attorney in reviewing guardianship petitions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to guardianship matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and affidavits.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding guardianship issues.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• Active Bar membership in the state of Florida.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Prior experience in guardianship law is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Florida guardianship laws and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with clients.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the state of Florida.
