Competitive Salary SoLo Funds is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Regulatory to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the future of community finance and driving positive change in the financial industry. As the Head of Regulatory, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee all aspects of regulatory and government relations for SoLo Funds. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of regulatory experience, either at a top law firm, in-house with a FinTech company, or in government. They should also have a deep understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to fintechs, including consumer lending, consumer protection, privacy, and payments. A JD from an accredited US law school and experience managing regulatory relationships at the federal and state level are also required for this role. The Head of Regulatory will be responsible for supporting the Company's regulatory and government activities at state and federal levels, including developing and implementing regulatory and public policy strategies. They will also manage relationships with regulators, structure and negotiate contracts for compliance, and advise the company on legal and business matters. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement regulatory and public policy strategies for SoLo Funds. Manage relationships with regulators at the state and federal level. Structure and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Advise the company on legal and business matters, balancing risk considerations and business objectives. Stay informed of incoming regulations and initiatives that may affect SoLo Funds. Manage lobbying efforts with third party providers. Effectively communicate and manage execution of regulatory strategies. Manage regulatory relationships, including license acquisition and maintenance, examinations, inquiries, and other matters. Represent SoLo before relevant regulatory authorities. Engage and manage outside counsel and consultants. Coordinate with Compliance and Product departments on regulatory initiatives. Manage regulatory advocacy budget. Requirements: 7+ years of regulatory experience, preferably in a top law firm, in-house with a FinTech company, or in government. Deep understanding of laws and regulations applicable to fintechs, including consumer lending, consumer protection, privacy, and payments. Experience managing regulatory relationships at the state and federal level. Ability to efficiently manage a growing regulatory practice, including using outside counsel. Creative problem-solving skills and strong legal acumen. JD from an accredited US law school. Member of a US state bar in good standing. Capitol Hill experience is a plus.
