A law firm in Roseland is seeking a Regulatory Attorney Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in healthcare regulatory matters, focusing on the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare policy, corporate practice doctrines, and similar laws and regulations. This role involves building and managing the healthcare regulatory legal function, implementing processes, and providing strategic guidance to ensure ongoing compliance.

 

Duties:

  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for healthcare regulatory matters.
  • Plan and build the healthcare regulatory legal function, implementing and improving processes and best practices.
  • Manage and drive strategy and risk mitigation for a wide range of regulatory and compliance legal issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to manage risk and comply with policies, laws, rules, regulations, and company objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with and knowledge of healthcare regulations, advising and communicating with the business accordingly.
  • Train and educate business teams and leaders on legal issues related to healthcare regulatory compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • JD degree required.
  • Must have Bar admission in NJ; NY admission is a plus.
  • Experience with Antitrust and competition laws is a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various other accounting and document management-based software.
  • Knowledge of electronic digital documentation and e-discovery matters.
  • Intrinsic motivation, self-starter mentality, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills required, complemented by outstanding academic credentials.
