Duties:

• Conduct patent preparation and prosecution activities focusing on medical devices and mechanical products.
• Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and clients to understand technical aspects and provide legal guidance.
• Perform patentability and infringement analyses.
• Draft legal documents, including patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, patent examiners, and internal teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• A degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
• Alternatively, degrees in other engineering disciplines and substantial patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products are acceptable.
• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
