A law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a federal clerkship background, exceptional academic credentials, superior writing and analytical capabilities, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. The successful candidate will have meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of issues related to ongoing litigation cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for federal court proceedings.
  • Participate in all aspects of discovery, including Electronic Discovery processes.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in federal and state laws, court rules, and legal trends relevant to litigation practice.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and legal staff as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Exceptional academic credentials with distinguished performance.
  • Superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Federal clerkship experience preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Discovery processes.
