# Tax Senior - Credits & Incentives

Deloitte Tax LLP is looking for a Tax Senior with experience in Credits & Incentives (C&I) to join its Global Investment & Innovation Incentives (Gi3) team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for sustainability, community development, or cutting-edge research and development to grow their career and work with a well-respected team of proven innovators. This role is available in 17 locations across the United States.

## Responsibilities

The Tax Senior will be responsible for identifying eligible federal C&I generating activities, managing and facilitating the analysis and documentation of such opportunities, and delivering value to clients by identifying opportunities and advising them on potential benefit and eligibility requirements.

The successful applicant will leverage their technical skills to solve complex C&I issues, demonstrate sound judgement and instincts, develop and mentor Consultants, identify potential issues and propose solutions to leadership, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables.

## Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field, and 3+ years' experience in a related field. They must also have proven knowledge of R&D tax incentives experience and/or experience with New Markets Tax Credits, Qualified Opportunity Zones, or Renewable Energy tax credits.

The candidate should demonstrate analytical and research skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate and proactively develop internal and external working relationships, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities.

The successful applicant must have, obtain, or be willing and able to obtain one of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA; Licensed attorney; Enrolled Agent; Project Management Professional (PMP); Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA); Professional Engineer.

Preferred qualifications include advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, experience with tax technical research (., CCH, Hein, Lexis, RIA, etc.), experience with Federal or State and Local C&I, experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences, and previous Big 4 or large CPA or law firm experience.

## Salary Range

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The current range is $66570 to $151,580. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

## Additional Information

This role requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week. Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve is also required.
