Duties:

  • Lead and manage a team of attorneys and support staff in handling complex litigation matters.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation process.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base and revenue.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in litigation practice areas.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Connecticut, in good standing.
  • 7-10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on complex cases.
  • Strong academic credentials, including high grades in law school.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Admission to multiple states or a willingness to obtain admission in additional states is preferred.
