A law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of patent litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, computer science, and/or life sciences, along with strong academic credentials and excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

 

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of patent litigation, including written discovery, brief writing, and deposition preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on patent law issues.
  • Assist with case strategy development and client counseling.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex patent litigation matters.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.
  • Prepare and argue motions and participate in trial proceedings.
  • Provide support on patent-related transactions and licensing matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of patent litigation experience.
  • Background in electrical engineering, computer science, and/or life sciences.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials and legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Prior experience at a regional or national law firm is preferred.
