Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution for medical devices and mechanical engineering innovations.
  • Draft and file patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related documents.
  • Perform legal research and analysis to support patent prosecution strategies.
  • Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand technical aspects and ensure comprehensive patent protection.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering; other engineering disciplines with substantial patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products will be considered.
  • 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • High level of academic achievement.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
