A law firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Personal Injury Protection defense practice and possess excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. This position involves drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, attending client conferences, hearings, and depositions, and ensuring compliance with billable time requirements.

Duties:

  • Drafting and performing legal review and analysis, providing advice on issues within the practiced area of law.
  • Conducting thorough legal research on Personal Injury Protection (PIP) issues.
  • Preparing complex dispositive motions related to PIP matters.
  • Preparation and attendance at client conferences, hearings, and depositions as required.
  • Timely preparation of discovery materials for opposing parties and responding to discovery requests.
  • Meeting designated minimum billable time requirements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned in various first-party and coverage cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Personal Injury Protection defense practice.
  • Admission to practice law and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, Excel, Westlaw, and time-billing software.
  • Ability to work independently, with consideration for flexible time and location options.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate and high-quality work products.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Legal drafting and analysis.
