A law firm is seeking a skilled Private Equity Finance Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in private equity sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions. They will be responsible for managing various financing transactions, reviewing and drafting loan documents, and effectively communicating with clients and other stakeholders.

 

Job Details:

  • Work on a broad range of private equity sponsored financing transactions, including leveraged financings, term loan and revolver facilities, cash flow and asset-based loan facilities, and mezzanine credit facilities.
  • Review and draft loan documents, including commitment letters, term sheets, loan agreements, and collateral documents.
  • Prioritize borrower-side representation; experience with lender-side representation, especially with private credit lenders, is desired.
  • Private equity borrower-side representation experience is a plus.
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product while meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Foster positive work relationships and comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice in the state of IL.
  • Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC.
