Trial Attorney - Northern California: Salary, Job Title, and Experience Information

Salary: $103,920 - $150,700 (CA only)
Job Title: Trial Attorney - Northern California
Experience: At least three years as an Attorney including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience or comparable outside experience. Must be capable of handling cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision.

We are currently seeking a Trial Attorney for our Northern California region. This is a virtual position, with in-person appearances as required, and we are open to candidates throughout the region. As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for the competent, ethical, and diligent representation of clients in all cases assigned by your supervisor. This can involve all areas of tort practice and may include handling cases of moderate to severe injuries and/or damages.

Job Summary:

- Responsible for representation of clients in assigned cases
- Cases can involve all areas of tort practice
- Handles cases with unique legal or procedural issues
- May assist other attorneys in assigned cases
- Functionally supervises attorneys who assist with assigned cases
- Consults with and advises Claims Departments on insurance policy and personal injury claim questions
- Keeps supervisor informed of work being done and any problems encountered
- Maintains and updates computerized litigation support systems
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Actions:

- Carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Hearing, seeing, standing, and walking
- Exposure to uncontrollable outside environmental conditions

Physical Environment:

- Climate-controlled office environment
- Some travel may be required via automobile and/or commercial transportation

Education Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
- Law school degree
- Member in good standing of the State Bar in the state of California

Experience Requirements:

- At least three years as an Attorney
- Civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience
- Must be capable of handling cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision

Special Skill Requirement:

- Public speaking
- Ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations
- Driving
